Mahony Tennis is about more than just coaching.
Whether you’re new to tennis, returning to the game, or refining your skills, our individual lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
We recommend starting with an initial lesson. From there, we can match you with the right coach, suggest suitable hitting partners, and guide you towards groups and programmes that fit your standard.
For competitive players, our Mahony Tennis Player Programme offers a structured pathway towards county, regional or national competition, and tennis scholarships.

Cancellation Policy for Individual Lessons:
If a player cannot attend an individual lesson, the coach must be notified 24 hours in advance to offer the slot to someone else. If the lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, the player will be charged in full for that lesson.**In exceptional circumstances, payment may be waived at the coach's discretion.
Racket Restringing Service
Ready for a restring?
We offer a racket restringing service for Mahony Tennis players and the wider tennis community, with a choice of strings to suit your racket, game and budget.
Restringing options:

Not sure which option or tension you need? We can help.
Turnaround: 3–5 working days (depending on demand)
TIP: A useful rule of thumb is to restring your racket as many times per year as you play each week – so if you play twice a week, aim for around every 6 months.
HOW IT WORKS

Get in touch – Drop us an email and we'll connect you with Max, who manages our restringing service.

Drop off – Arrange to leave your racket directly with Max or at Downton Tennis Centre.

Restring & collect – Max will manage payment and arrange collection with you.
The Centre
Play tennis all year round at Downton Tennis Centre (DTC) with 2 indoor courts, 3 outdoor courts, 4 mini-courts and a practice wall — for all ages and abilities.
Forming part of Downton Leisure Centre, benifit from a friendly reception, free parking, café, clubhouse, indoor viewing gallery, floodlit outdoor courts, showers and full leisure centre facilities.
